Audi R8 getting a facelift - and more power - in 2012 The supercar with a mainstream car maker’s badge attached that is the Audi R8 has been something of a success as a halo car for the Audi range since it arrived in V8 form in 2007 (well, probably 2008 by the time most customer cars turned up). But through that time the engines – apart from in the R8 GT – have remained the same, as has the woeful R-Tronic gearbox.

Who's Where: Robin Page joins Volvo Cars as interior design director

Robin Page has joined Volvo Cars as design director interior. He will report directly to Thomas Ingenlath, Volvo's vice president of Design. 41-year-old Page, formerly head of interior design at Bentley since 2001, was responsible for the Continental and Mulsanne ranges' interiors and also designed the interior of Queen Elizabeth II's State Limousine.  He previously undertook an apprenticeship with Jaguar and has also worked for Rolls-Royce and Bugatti.
